How Sareye collects information

When you visit Sareye‘s IMS system, we may collect information, such as IP address, domain information, browser information, and any information you may voluntarily share with us, such as email address, government issued identification numbers (Kennitala), and phone number. We may also use website tracking software, such as Google Analytics, to track website usage patterns.

We also collect any data that you may submit, for example data regarding new or existing Events, Tasks, Operations, Groups, Rounds, Watches, etc. This data may contain personal information both in the content you submit yourself and also metadata (data not related to content itself but data regarding creator, submitter, editor etc.).

The SAReye IMS mobile app can collect precise location data, however it is up to the user to activate location data collection. The location data is used to increase user safety in emergency situations.

System administrators can import personal data regarding your user from other systems. This kind of data can include information regarding external team groups or resources. For any questions regarding what data is being imported for your user please contact gdpr@sareye.com.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, any personal information you share is with Sareye alone. Personal information is never shared with 3rd parties.

What information Sareye collects about you

Sareye‘s website uses services, such as Google Analytics, to place cookies (see Use of Cookies below) on devices that access the website. These cookies enable Sareye to track which portions of the site are visited and keep you logged into the system. You can opt out of cookies by adjusting your browser‘‘s cookie settings and/or by adjusting cookie consent options on our website (see Use of Cookies below).

All messages users send to each others in the system‘s message feature are stored in our databases. The content of these messages may contain personal information. The data used to map the messages to the users may also contain personal information.

How Sareye uses personal information

In order to provide the correct content to you Sareye uses your email or government issued identification numbers to map correct datapoints and deliver them to you. Sareye might display your full name, phone number, and email beside the data you have created for example  Events, Tasks, Operations, Groups, Rounds, Watches, etc. Sareye also displays any data that you submit that is intended for others to see regardless if that data contains personal data that you included. Sareye might use your email and phone number to send you information directly from the system.

Sharing of information

Except as set forth in this Policy, Sareye will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information to partners, associated organizations and agents, or other 3rd parties. We may share information with trusted service providers and suppliers who are working under a contractual relationship to assist us with our programs and operations.

Sareye will never rent, trade, or sell your e-mail address or any other personal data to a 3rd party.

Please be aware we may be compelled to release personal information to authorities to comply with the law or protect the safety and rights of others.

Updating or deleting personally identifiable information

The accuracy of your individual information is important to Sareye. You can update or delete your personal information by contacting us by sending us an email . We will abide by requests to have personally identifiable information deleted from our records, except in cases where retention of that information may be required by law.

All backups of our databases are securely encrypted and deleted after a certain time period.
